Seattle Seahawks odds, season predictions and best NFL futures bets Guide 2023

Welcome to The Bet Club NFL Seattle Seahawks betting guide for 2023.

The Seattle Seahawks were seemingly in transition last year, with Russell Wilson having been traded to the Denver Broncos and replaced under center by Geno Smith. However, they certainly weren’t entirely in rebuilding mode. In fact, the Seahawks actually improved, and to say that they were better than Wilson’s Broncos would be a significant understatement. Despite making the playoffs in 9 of the last 11 years, they haven’t won a playoff game since 2019. Head coach Pete Carroll’s team obviously wants to take that next step sooner rather than later. Let’s take a look at the odds and best bets for the Seattle Seahawks this year.

Seattle Seahawks 2022 season recap

Forecasting the Seattle Seahawks’ 2023 season is akin to navigating a winding, unpredictable road. With last year’s playoff berth led by Geno Smith, the Seahawks displayed resilience and glimpses of potential. Yet, their late-season struggles cast shadows of doubt, emphasizing Smith’s limited experience as a starter. The upcoming season carries a tapestry of possibilities, with the addition of young talents like Jaxon Smith-Njigba adding intrigue. Consequently, making predictions for this enigmatic team requires a blend of optimism and cautious anticipation.

Seattle Seahawks 2023 NFL season predictions

Anticipating the trajectory of the Seattle Seahawks in 2023 is akin to deciphering a complex puzzle with numerous missing pieces. Prognostications for this enigmatic squad are bound to be as diverse as the colors in a painter’s palette. There’s a dual narrative at play: the Seahawks earned a playoff ticket in 2022 and fortified their roster with two promising first-round selections, Devon Witherspoon and Jaxon Smith-Njigba. However, it’s equally pertinent to acknowledge the scant evidence of Geno Smith’s success as a starting quarterback, with just one winning season to his name. Their rollercoaster finish to the previous campaign, winning two and dropping five of their last eight games, only adds to the intrigue surrounding their upcoming journey.

With that said, let’s delve into a couple of bold predictions for the Seattle Seahawks in the forthcoming season.

Best bet: Seattle Seahawks to miss the playoffs (+100)

Barring immediate and substantial contributions from Witherspoon and Smith-Njigba, Seattle’s roster in 2023 may appear strikingly similar to its previous incarnation. While this formula was sufficient to clinch a wild-card berth in 2022, replicating the feat this time around is not guaranteed. Doubt lingers in my mind. If the Seahawks settle into a state of mediocrity, their demanding schedule could prove insurmountable. The first half of their upcoming campaign involves four road contests against three playoff-caliber teams and one squad poised for postseason contention—Detroit. The latter part of the season brings equally formidable challenges, featuring away fixtures against San Francisco, Dallas, and Tennessee, along with home clashes against San Francisco and Philadelphia. Any unexpected stumbles in games they should win might spell doom for their playoff aspirations.

Seattle Seahawks season record predictions: 8-9

Clearly, I intend to align this prediction with my earlier choice of Seattle failing to make the playoffs. While a 9-8 record could have been insufficient last season, I believe the Seahawks are just as likely to end up with an 8-9 mark this time around. Moreover, it offers more attractive odds at +600 in the exact-wins wagering realm. So, let’s go with the ‘Hawks concluding the season with a sub-.500 record.
